｜簡介｜
陳廷晉，國立高雄師範大學美術系碩士畢業，是高雄駁二藝術特區文化公仔『工人漁婦』原創作者，其作品榮獲2006年高雄市國際文化公仔創意展首獎，以挖掘內在思索，做為個人在創作上最大的動機。曾辦理「品常」群人木雕創作個展、「生活面相」三人藝術展、「解讀日常的＿」藝術聯展，以及「演得像自己一點」創作個展。
個人投身在造形藝術創作上以立體雕塑為主要形式，在創作動機上不外乎貼近著自我內在的挖掘，人如何成為人是哲學領域的思維，藝術創作透過多元的藝術形式進行對於內在思索的反省記錄及思緒的展現，是個人在創作上最大的動機，近期主要的創作以木雕為主,試圖讓媒材與題材之間的關係能更密切。
Chen Ting-Jin, who was born in Kaohsiung, obtained a master degree from the Department of Fine Arts of National Kaohsiung Normal University. He is the artist who created the iconic public art-cultural figures “Worker &Fisherwoman” in Kaohsiung Pier-2 Art Center, which won the first prize of the 2006 Kaohsiung International Cultural Doll Creative Exhibition. To dig into the inner and convey the thinking is the greatest motivation in his creation. He has hosted a series of exhibitions such as the solo exhibition sculpturing publics called “Appreciate Your Daily Life” and “Act as Living the Part”, the artist joint exhibition “Art as Life” and “Interpretation of Daily_” and so on…
Specializing in formative arts, sculpture is his main approach. As for the motives of his creation, Chen Ting-Jin focuses on digging out of his inner self. Why man becoming man is a philosophical thinking and hard to answer. Yet artistic creation can undergo with diversified forms, record the inner thinking and self examination and present one’s mind and emotions. That’s what he wants his works can convey to others. Recently, he mainly focuses on wood carving and tries to build a closer relation between the theme of creation and the material.
