TRANSCENDENT 超然

從「羅漢非羅漢」、「發光體」、「超連結」、「悠然」到最新系列的「超然」,試圖穿透表象,凝視人的意志與靈魂,洞察攸關修行、能量、磁波、關係、沉靜、超越….。

德國哲學家雅斯培(Karl Jaspers 1883-1969)所提出的「超越界」(Transzendenz)是當人消除「主客分裂」達成「主客合一」時,人即能進入某種神秘的境界。雅斯培進一步以「統攝者」(das Umgreifende)代表「主客合一」的「整體」,「透過對象性的思考,去獲取指向非對象性之統攝者的標誌」,當我們進入「統攝者」的境界時,超越界即在。類似《莊子》:「齊惟至人之非己,固物我而兼忘。」 

超然系列,所進行的意向,即在練習「主客合一」與進入「統攝者」的境界。在純真的台東山海之境,在浩瀚的宇宙之幻,我即自然,我即宇宙,超然即為進入「超越界」的境界。

在看似有限的時空與生命,持續展開對經驗、智識、慣性、學科、恐懼、私慾…的超越,其源源不絕的動能,來自於對自己,家人,朋友的愛,一個終生必修的課題。

Artist Statement
The concept of “Transzendenz”that Karl Jasper (1883-1969), Germain philosopher, stated means that human beings can be in a mystic state when the subjectivity and objectivity unite after the devastation of “separation of subjectivity and objectivity”. Jasper further used “das Umgreifende”to represent the wholeness of oneness of subjectivity and objectivity. “Through objective thinking, the sign of das Umgreifende can be retained.”When we enter the state of das Umgreifende, the transzendenz is there. It is similar to the concept of oneness of self and other beings in “Zhuangzi”.
The intention of series of “Transcendent”is to practice unification of subjectivity and objectivity, entering the state of das Umgreifende. In Taitung, where mountains and sea are pure, the nature is me and the cosmos is me. In this vast cosmos, being transcendent is to go into the mystic state of ‘Transzendenz’.
