創作對我而言, 是我找回生命中最快樂的原點, 倘若作品足被堪稱當代抽象,就希望觀者不祇從畫面中的形式去論斷, 而是從看一個人長期以藝術介入社會公共議題的經驗延續,結合作品中呈現的畫面去了解.也因個人過往的社會空間實踐經驗,於是作品隱約呈現理性的幾何結構形式,因此空間’幾何,隱然成為我的繪畫風格,當面對作品時總是來回的探索’自省反詰如何將感性的敘事故事’生命的記憶’生活圖像’山水的崇尚與理性的幾何結構’線形兼容於作品之中.
於是我的繪畫一直在探索新的可能,所有的階段也都是未來回顧的脈絡……
About My Painting
To me, to create is to return to the happiest start of my life. If a piece of art can be viewed as abstract art, that piece of art shall not be judged by its form. It should be rather judged by the experience of one’s artistic participation in the society. With those experiences, combined with the presentation of my art pieces, one can start to comprehend the pieces themselves. Reflecting my living experiences, my work is created by geomatic shapes in the sense of reason. Spaces and geometry has become my sources of creations. With those creations I am able to search deep into myself.
My works are consist of sensible narrations of stories, the memories of life, the images of everyday happenings, the figures of mountains and waters, the structure of reason and geometry, and lines and segments. I am trying to embody a new kinds of possibilities into my paintings, and such possibilities will someday be put under examination, just as how I examine the past nowadays. ───Lin Hsi-Chun

藝術創作對我而言，是來自個人內心世界的反省觀照，這些元素包含了已消逝歲月中感情的沉澱，對時代環境的依戀與關懷，在未來世界的臆想憧憬。許多人以寫日記的手法來記錄生活，而我則是以素描和繪畫來表現。所以本來形諸文字的意念表達方式則轉化成為點、線、面和圖騰符號來代替，這些經由淬鍊之後的簡單形象，不拘泥於抽象或是具象的結合方式，希望能達到更多的想像空間。
About Tao Wen-Yueh’s Works
To me, art creations come from the reflections of my inner-self. Elements of the nostalgia caused by the passing of time, the carings and longings of our living eras, and the imaginations toward the future are embodied in my art works. While some people document their life by keeping diaries, I record mine with sketches and paintings. Words is to peoples’ diaries as points, line segments, faces and drawing symbols to my paintings. Those refined but simple images are neither abstract nor concrete, as I hope they can stimuli the viewer’s bigger imaginations.

（選文AK官網）2019第七屆高雄藝術博覽會於2019/12/13(五)-2019/12/15(日)，在高雄駁二藝術特區自行車倉庫和城市商旅真愛館隆重舉行。秉持著對藝術的使命感與熱忱，在產官學各界的期盼與支持之下，大會規劃了多元豐富的展覽及講座活動，為所有喜好藝術的朋友帶來一場藝術盛宴。
高雄藝博延續了往年「東南亞及東北亞藝術交會平台」的定位繼續前進，除了台灣各地展商之外，更有來自日本、韓國、泰國、緬甸、加拿大、新加坡、澳門、中國、香港、法國等近70間畫廊機構參與。大會依循博覽會宗旨，規劃了「泰國當代藝術平台」、「北韓當代藝術平台」、「特展區」、「當代藝術展區-駁二藝術特區」與「現當代藝術展區-城市商旅」四大展覽主軸，以及多元豐富的論壇活動，對於當代藝術的未來發展作了不同層面的探討。
